Access tokens for the CraftyClicks web service
Access to the postcode/address lookup web service is authorised by means of an access token.
When you sign up for a free evaluation account with us, an access token will be automatically generated for you. This trial access token gives you the opportunity to perform up to 30 requests to any of our products/APIs free of charge.
We also provide a number of free postcodes. These can be used for testing and integration work and no account or access token is necessary. Data returned is fictitious and designed to cover the full range of different address formats found on the real Royal Mail PAF.
The free postcodes are:
- AA11AA, AA11AB, AA11AD and AA11AE - return an OK result
- Any other postcode starting with AA11A - returns a failure result
Once you are happy with the way our web service works in your application, all you need to to is to purchase some credit, a licence or sign up to a monthly plan. Your account is then fully activated. In your MyAccount portal you will be able to generate new access tokens.
